Hello everyone, Have you ever heard " British Hills"? But it's not in U.K. Here in Japan. British Hills is located in a forest in Hatori natural park in Fukushima prefecture. It was originally established to provide students the opportunity and space for international training by Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages and Kanda University of International Studies. Today the institute has opened it's doors to everyone who would like to visit or study English at British Hills.

It has the atmosphere " Britain in the Middle Ages". It's just like Harry Potter's magic school. English is the official language and also you can use British Hill's own currency called "pound". 1 British Hills pound = 100yen. Sounds interesting ,isn't it?

As you know, Japan is surrounded by the sea, it's not easy to study English abroad. I think it would be great if we could have such a "English World" everywhere in Japan. Hopefully public ones are preferable.

  The cheaper ,the better!!

Thank you so much for reading my article.

♪Let it be♪ Nostalgic. I bought the record during Junior High School. Do you know The Beatles named their goup from Volkswagen Beetle. Because they went from Liverpool to Hamburg to work. They sang ♪She love you♪ in German. I wanna work at British Hills. Bye..

Hello
Thanks for your comment.See you.

Hi MOKO
Your experience is interesting!
I and my friends have been interested in British Hills.
I’d like to take culture courses in English.
Which class did you take? All? Several?
But the cost is a little bit expensive, you are right.
I’ll think of going there!

Good morning, MOKO-san! I am trying to write my message in English today, please excuse my mistakes! British Hills. Though I have never stayed over there yet, my husband has taken me there by car, twice. When I first saw the incredible scenery I thought “Oh, Boy! I just can’t believe this is in FUKUSHIMA!”

We just walked around the site and had a cup of British tea and scones, fish-and-chips, or something. I do agree it would be great if we could have such a "English World" in Japan. And, actually I would love to go real England one day because I have never been there! Have a nice day! cheese
